“Successful”…one simple yet powerful word that describes the women of IWA Modena as well as the Wine & Dine event held on 16 April at the beautiful Agriturismo Corte Manzini in Settecani Castelvetro.
The evening opened with some introductory remarks from Events Director Sandra Gabriele and Event Organiser and the evening’s host, Isabell Guidastri, followed by a fabulous five course meal with wine pairings selected from the hospitable and award-winning family-run agriturismo. Attendees enjoyed a wide range of delicious food starting with baked vegetable lasagna, continuing with some traditional Modenese dishes such as tortelloni in butter & sage sauce and tigelle & gnocco fritto. The five course meal ended with some wonderful Lambrusco sorbetto, sweets and coffee. The wines selected for each course were well-liked by the women and many made the most of the special member 25% discount, purchasing bottles to take home and share with family and friends (myself included of course!). This event was definitely a lot of fun and offered a great opportunity to meet other like-minded women from Modena and surrounding areas. We are looking forward to another similar event in the future! (hint hint to the Events Team!)
