The IWA Modena selected the Association for the Integration of Women, the AIW, to be it’s non-profit partner for 2021/22 to help them maximise their impact and launch a new innovative model in Modena. Over the past year, the Women for Women – Growing Together campaign has taken shape and we have collaborated very closely with the AIW team, organised dozens of fund-raising events in and around Modena and mobilised lots of volunteers who have supported the association in many different ways.
Women4Women – Growing Together
From day one of our partnership, the AIW and the IWAM have been focused on two goals: Women for Women and Growing Together.
What were our main goals during the campaign?
- To launch the “Women for Women – Growing Together” campaign to raise awareness and funds for the AIW. The campaign was designed to support the launch of their new project, a one-of-a-kind, food-based social restaurant called ROOTS:
- To mobilize IWA Modena members as volunteers who would provide their skills to benefit the AIW trainees through the ‘’Skill Builders Program“.
The campaign was extremely successful and we are delighted to announce that we have achieved both goals in abundance by:
- Raising 10,000 Euros for the restaurant “Roots:” through the following activities
- Apericena in September 2021
- Online silent auction September 2021
- Thrift market stalls in September and October 2021
- Women’s retreat in September 2021
- Modena Walking Tours in November 2021
- Donations to the GoFundMe account
- #BreaktheBias 4-day event in March 2022
- Women’s retreat in May 2021
- Providing members as volunteers to AIW: for the Skill Builders Program covering topics such as Digital Communication, CV Writing, Interview Preparation as well as technical and financial skills to help prepare trainees for their entrance into the world of work.
We would like to thank ALL of you who have contributed to achieving these goals. Without your time, passion and expertise, none of this would have bene possible.
